Athena Cleanse is a unique, plant-safe chemical with powerful oxidative properties to prevent mineral buildup, increase oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and descale irrigation systems.
Non-toxic and non-nutritional – safe to use on plants at all stages of growth
Helps descale irrigation systems and break down residual organic matter
Effective as a Flush to remove mineral buildup in growing media and irrigation lines
Very low TDS – does not affect mineral balance
Keeps irrigation system clean
Dosage:
System Maintenance:
Irrigation systems that are regularly maintained with Athena Cleanse treatment will last longer, and run more optimally throughout. This is because Athena Cleanse helps break down mineral buildup and other dead organic matter that has become stuck in the system.
Regular Use:
Use a diluted mixture of 2-5 ml of Athena Cleanse per gallon of water (3.78L) for regular maintenance.
Severe Conditions:
Increase dosage to 5-10 ml per gallon of water (3.78L) to clean severe growing media conditions.
RDWC and other recirculating hydroponic systems:
Any recirculating or deep water culture (DWC) irrigation system should use Athena Cleanse to remove mineral residue and reduce scale.
Using Athena Cleanse in a recirculating or DWC system helps break down materials with lower solubility ratings, such as mineral complexes that are no longer available to plants. Mineral build-up and lock-out is a major cause of deficiencies and plant health problems.
Media/System Flush Mix:
Use Athena Cleanse at a dosage of 5-10 ml per gallon of water (3.78L) during the last growing season to reduce residual mineral build-up in the growing medium.
This procedure can be used at any time during the vegetative or flowering phases if the growing medium or irrigation system develops a mineral imbalance or unwanted buildup.
Foliar Applications:
Mix 375 ml of Athena Cleanse per gallon of water (3.78L) and spray evenly. Test on a small area first to ensure no damage is visible.
